The Porter Voice Collective was born out of the desire to listen to, celebrate, amplify and elevate the voices of the porters in the trekking tourism industry worldwide. It is a collection of their voices from Peru, Nepal, and Tanzania. We aim to bridge the gap of knowledge between tourists that walk the mountain trails and the men and women who are the core foundation of the trekking tourism industry. We are creating a collection of global voices by sharing stories as told by the porters themselves in the three most influential trekking tourism industries in the world – Peru, Nepal and Tanzania. As tourists, we also encourage you to add to these voices as an ally of the porters worldwide.

OUR MISSION
To advocate for the human rights of the porters and create Workforce Equity Tourism in the trekking industry worldwide through the use of storytelling and media in all forms.
El Colectivo de Voz del Portereador nació del deseo de escuchar, celebrar, amplificar y elevar las voces de los porteadores en la industria del turismo de trekking en todo el mundo. Es una colección de sus voces de Perú, Nepal y Tanzania. Nuestro objetivo es cerrar la brecha de conocimiento entre los turistas que caminan por los senderos de montaña y los hombres y mujeres que son la base central de la industria del turismo de trekking. Estamos creando una colección de voces globales compartiendo historias contadas por los propios porteadores en las tres industrias de turismo de trekking más influyentes del mundo: Perú, Nepal y Tanzania.
